Tallinna Lasnamäe School of Mechanics is a national vocational education institution founded on September 1, 1971.

The former training school for Dvigateli employees has evolved into a regional vocational training institution, where modern learning opportunities have been created for conducting initial vocational training and further training. The design of the school strategy and its implementation is based on the resources allocated by the state and is in accordance with the general education policy and the normative documents that regulate it.

The school places importance on maintaining the trust of employers. The school has had an ISO 9001 certificate since 2005 and an ISO 14001 certificate since the spring of 2012. Compliance with the stakeholders, legal and other requirements and continuous improvement of the management system and processes are ensured through the adherence to the quality and environmental policy and the implementation of the integrated management system.

As the only school in the country, the school is certified in conducting training in the field of welding and has the right to issue welding certificates based on the regulations DVS 1191 and DVS 1192.

The school is recognized as a professional examination center in all curriculum groups by the professional associations that conduct professional examinations.
